AKL Home Improvement is the company of Alex William Soares Teodoro, a carpenter from first fix framing to the last pass of finish work, based in Hyannis on Cape Cod.
One name runs the work. The person who walks your property and signs your proposal is the person who checks the reveal on your casing. Nothing is handed off, and nothing is lost between an office and a job site.
The card says quality, craftsmanship, integrity. On site that means materials chosen by grade rather than margin, joinery meant to outlast its warranty, and a broom clean house every evening.
Craftsmanship
Scribed, coped and mitered by hand. If the caliper and the finished work disagree, the work is redone.
Integrity

Every season asks something different of a Cape house, and AKL works the year by the water's clock. Storm repairs and renewed cedar in spring, decks and porches through the bright summer, weatherproofing and sealed seams before the autumn frost, and the close interior work of trim, built ins and coffered ceilings through the quiet winter.
Hyannis has always been a working harbor. Boats, lumber and families have shared these streets for two hundred years, and the building trades grew up beside the wharves.
